Alia’s laws of attraction

Ever since Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor were spotted watching a movie at a suburban multiplex, rumours surfaced that the two are dating. However, ask Alia about it and her face betrays no emotion. "I am not dating Arjun. We get along very well. That's it. I am not going to severe ties with my friends just to put a lid on such rumours," she says.

As she tries hard to convince us about her 'single' status, we remember the actress joining Arjun's birthday bash as well. But, it is not only Arjun. Just a film old, this daughter of Mahesh Bhatt was previously linked with her Student of The Year co-stars. The actress almost reads our mind and says: "I am being honest. A couple of days ago, I went out with Siddharth Malhotra to see Ship of Theseus. He is a friend and so is Varun Dhawan."

She confesses that she finds both Arjun and Varun attractive. But is quick to add: "I don't want to fall in love at this point in my life. I don't have so much time at my disposal. Isn't love a very heavy word? We use the word 'love' very frivolously. Why do people say 'I love you' so easily? Even when I had boyfriends, I wasn't in love per se. A person does not need to be in love to be in a relationship." That is quite profound coming form a 20-year-old.
She reveals that her father being a part of the industry helps and she doesn't have to face questions about her 'reported' linkups back home. "And I won't lie that I have had boyfriends in the past. In fact, I had two boyfriends in school. I am no saint," the Bhatt girl says rather proudly.

However, she feels she has more to explain about the movie theatre episode. "Let me tell you that it was a special screening of D-Day and Nikhil Advani had invited both of us. It was not as if we went for a stroll in the evening and went for a movie date. Don't you go out to movies with your colleagues? Is it unheard of for colleagues to become good friends?"

According to reports, Alia has been spending a lot of time with Arjun's sister Anshula as well. "So? We just clicked a few pictures together. How does it imply that Arjun and I are dating?" she sounds offended.

"I know my limits. I still can't come home at 6 am. There are rules at home that we must adhere to. We speak to our helpers very politely. If I ever start behaving like a brat, my mom immediately puts her foot down. She has given me sufficient freedom and I will never betray their trust," adds Alia.
The actress has also become Ranbir Kapoor's favourite. Buzz is, the star has been recommending her to filmmakers. "Well, he did tell Imtiaz Ali (for Highway) about me," the actress has no qualms admitting. Her diary has four films in a span of one year - Student Of The Year, Highway, 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. But ask her, Arjun or Varun? And she shyly looks at her nails and says: "That's a tough one..."
