Urmila Matondkar likely to make a comeback on the tube

Urmila Matondkar has been missing from the tinsel town for a while now and is spotted only at events. Now our khabroo has given us this piece of gosip that the actor is going to make a comeback very soon. Hold your horses. She is definitely making a comeback, but this time on the small screen.

If the reports are to be believed, she has been in talks with Prem Kishen and his son Siddharth Malhotra’s production house for a TV show as they are keen to cast a Bollywood face in the leading role. Urmila will play the role of a mother of an extremely young rape victim. The story of the show revolves around how she seeks revenge and there would be her own love story angle too.

Urmila was last seen as the judge of season two of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2007) and Chak Dhoom Dhoom (2011) as well as host of Warr Parrivar (2008).

Interestingly, in the mid-’80s Urmila had acted in Shyam Benegal’s Katha Sagar, which aired on Doordarshan. It had several film folk acting in the episodic short stories.

Well we just can’t wait to see this actor back on television. What do you think?
